RBI Recruitment for the Post of 623 Assistants: How to Apply

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has invited applications from eligible candidates for 623 posts of ‘Assistant’ in various offices of the Bank. Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination in two phases- preliminary and main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The last date to submit application form is November 10, 2017. Interested candidates may register and fill the application through online mode only from 18-10-017 to 10-11- 2017. 

Aspiring candidates are first necessitated to go to RBI official website and fill an online application form with utmost care. The application form is integrated with the payment gateway for your fee payment that is as follows-

Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PHD/EXS. (Intimation Charges)
Rs. 450/- for OBC/General Candidates (Examination Fee + Intimation Charges)

Educational Qualification:

The candidates interested in applying for this post must be having a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and must possess knowledge of word processing on PC.

Age limit:
The candidates interested in applying for this post should be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/10/1989 and not later than 01/10/1997 (both days including) are only eligible to apply.
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
Relaxation in age will be provided as per the government norms.
Pay Scale:
The selected candidates will draw a monthly salary of Rs. 13150 to 34900.
Besides above ‘Assistants’ will enjoy the following allowances like- dearness allowance, house rent allowance, city compensatory allowance, transport allowance etc. as admissible from time to time.
Structure of Exam:
The structures of examination which will be conducted online are as follows-
·        Preliminary examination
·        Mains examination
·        Language proficiency test

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
The candidates provisionally selected from the mains online examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the office/ local language of the state concerned.
Negative Marking:
Wrong answers will be penalized in the preliminary and mains examination. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

·        Jammu – Urdu / Hindi
·        Kanpur & Lucknow – Hindi
·        Kolkata – Bengali
·        Mumbai – Marathi
·        Nagpur – Marathi / Hindi
·        New Delhi – Hindi
·        Patna – Hindi
·        Thiruvanathapuram – Malayalam 

How to Apply:

·        RBI ‘Assistant’ application should be submitted only online mode. So read the form filling detailed instructions very carefully because changes are not allowed in the online application, once it is submitted.

·        At first go to official website and click the link ‘Recruitment for the post of Assistant’ which will open a new page.
·        To register application, choose the tab ‘Click here for New registration’ and enter Name, Contact details and Email. A provisional registration number will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
·        Validate your details and save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your Details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button.
·        Candidates can proceed to upload photo and signature as per the specifications given in the guidelines for scanning and upload of photograph and signature.
·        Click on the preview tab to preview and verify the entire application form before ‘Final Submit’.
·        Modify details, if required, and click on ‘Final Submit’ only after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
·        Click on ‘Payment’ tab and proceed for payment.
·        Click on ‘Submit’ button.
·        On successful completion of transection, an e-Receipt will be generated.
·        Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form containing fee details.
